July 30, 20251) Great bowling effort to restrict them at 119. That bowled by Sanjaybhai was perfect example of mind game.
2) Fielding was almost perfect apart from few dramatic moves by Jismon😜. That one handed try by Rushi at deep midwicket was unbelievable.
3) Good opening batting by Eldho(29 Only/-) & Rushi(34) to set the tone of chase but middle order need to work a lot to claim the cup. CAN’T AFFORD TO LOSE 3-4 WICKETS IN SHORT SPAN. Please try to attend outdoor nets if possible.
4) Man of the match – Sanjaybhai (Not because of performance but only because of 2X Pad up Drill 😜) […]

VCC won the toss and chose to bowl first under overcast skies on a green pitch.
Ananth and Sarath begin our bowling attack. Breadsall CC began with attacking intent, scoring 20 runs in the first two overs. But the breakthrough came in the 3rd over when Ananth struck twice first with a well-judged catch by Vishnu at mid-off, and then trapping the next batter LBW. From the other end, Sarath bowled with good pace and tight lines. He picked up two wickets in the 6th and 8th over of the match one through a sharp catch by Arun Raj at cover point, and the other bowled through the gate. At the end of 8 overs, Breadsall were struggling at 48 for 4.
Ananth and Sarath continued to build pressure with disciplined bowling. both in the middle of a great spell and wanted to continue for a long spell of full quota. Good to see fast bowlers bowling full 9 overs in a spell not that happen every day with us. Commendable effort, Both finished with 3 wickets each and could have had more, Sarath nearly got his fourth when Jismon made a full-stretch diving effort, almost pulling off a brilliant catch. The energy and intent in the field was great.
Vishnu and Lee was next into the attack. Vishnu kept things tight and struck in his third over with a sharp catch taken by Phani at gully who didn’t had to move an inch. He followed it up with another wicket a clean catch by Eldo at mid-off, and later bowled with a delivery that moved slightly. Vishnu finished with 3 wickets as well. Lee supported well from the other end with a couple of tight overs and got the final wicket with a short ball that popped up to Sanath at cover point for a simple catch.
The fielding throughout the innings was great, good catches. Breadsall CC were bowled out for just 118 runs inside 30 overs. All four fast bowlers doing the job.
Batting Summary – Breadsall CC vs VCC
Chasing a modest target of 119, VCC began cautiously with Eldo and Anuj opening the innings. They played carefully for the first couple of overs before Eldo was bowled in the 3rd over trying a big shot. Roshit joined Anuj, and the pair built a small but steady partnership, punishing loose deliveries and sending 9 balls to the boundary. However, a mix-up while running between the wickets led to Anuj being run out for 17, need to improve communication while running between the wickets. Jismon came in next and looked steady but was undone by a ball that stayed low. Arun Raj joined Roshit and kept the scoreboard ticking, but Roshit was dismissed LBW in the 15th over, leaving VCC at 57/4.
Sanath came in and played a good supporting knock, rotating strike and hitting some clean boundaries, including a straight hit over the bowler. His promising innings ended when he was caught trying another attacking shot, with the score at 83/5. Phani came in next and supported Arun, Arun anchored one end with patience. Phani tried to accelerate but got bowled going for a big shot 109/6 . Vishnu then joined Arun, and the pair calmly guided the team home, with Arun finishing the match in style with a six over square leg, remaining unbeaten. It was a well-rounded team effort, and VCC chased down the target with contributions from the batting order, securing a much-needed win and 22 points.

July 30, 20251) As usual lost the toss & selected to bowl first😎
2) Started bowling with Vishnu & Sanjaybhai. Both were fabulous from 2nd individual over. Taking 2 wickets in an over. 1st Change Hari & Maharshi bowling on tight line & length didn’t allowed to score easily. Arunlal replaced Hari & was on Tug war mode didn’t allowing any batsmen to stay for long time & excellent in catching as well. Amar bowled very economical 2 overs & rewarded with 1 wicket with the help of great catch from Arunlal. Restricted them for 138.
3) Started batting with Eldho & Rushi. Eldho – Very unfortunate as bat was broken & got out while trying to give good start. Rushi at another end promoting Pure Gym, played few power packed classical shots before getting out. Roshitbhai & Sanjaybhai stabilised the inning & didn’t allowed opposition to settle down at any stage. Roshitbhai got injured & became not out retired-hurt. Maharshi went in & managed to score 2 amazing runs before throwing wicket away while trying go over covers. Arunlal scored quick 15 runs before getting runout due to error of Judgement from Rushi😜. Sanjaybhai on the other hand showed us how to build the inning while chasing. Hari & Phani helped VCC to make sure no other batsmen need to go in or Leela doesn’t have to pad up.😂
4) Man of the match – Arunlal (3.2-0-20-4) (15run)Sanjaybhai (2 crucial wickets in powerplay) (58 from 39). […]
